True Blood Season 3 finally premiered on the 13th of June 2010 after almost one whole year of anticipation. True Blood, by being light entertainment but with a lot of undercover social and political messages, managed to nail us to our couch. We are going to have a stunning new season taken by Charlaine Harris’s third book Club Dead.
But let’s see what happens on an episode by episode basis.
3.1 Bad Blood
Last episode of season #2 left us with Bill being kidnapped after he proposed to Sookie. In this first episode of season #3 it seems that Bill has been kidnapped for real by Gus (Don Swayze, younger brother of Patrick Swayze). Gus and his gang are actually werewolves that for some reason kidnapped Bill and driving him to some place while torturing and sucking some of his drug blood. Fortunately, Bill breaks free after kicking their asses inside the car that causes a car crash that kills some of the crew.
Bill survives the crash, but his exhausted from the blood loss and digs a hole to the ground for some rest.
Sookie some miles away is worried sick by the unexpected disappearance of her loved one and goes to Bon Temp’s hillbilly police that don’t seem to share the same enthusiasm for the loss of a vampire. Helpless as she is, she asks the help of Eric after he accused him for the kidnapping of Bill. During all this, Eric’s lesbian second hand Pam is rather frightened about the Queen’s reaction when he learns that Bill is gone.
The same evening, the Queen steps by Fangtasia, along with the Magister. Unfortunately for Eric, he is asked to move all the remaining V drug she supplied in the next 24 hours due to some problems the Queen is having with the IRS. Eric takes the problem off his shoulders and put’s it on Lafayette’s by forcing him to sell all V drug.
Tara is experiencing some down times with the loss of Eggs (the man Tara fell in love with in previous episodes) but I aint’ gonna write about Tara ‘cause as I stated in a previous article I wrote bout True Blood, I totally hate the bitch and want her dead (in the series) A.S.A.P
As for Jason Stackhouse (Sookie’s younger bro), he is in a pact with Andy who is trying to convince the town it was he that killed Eggs in self defence. Stackhouse, has to do the only thing he knows best – to be himself. So the same night, he meets two chick’s in Merlotte’s bar and convinces them to go by his place (ha , that’s why I love TB). Unfortunately, even that tool Jason can’t handle the situation and guilty as he feels he is experiencing some dick- down times. The scene ends with the two chicks kissing half naked trying to get Stackhouse back in action. No luck.
Jess is still boring. She killed a man by accident and after a failed attempt to bring him back to life she hides him in the ground. Now helps Sookie find Bill….and they do. They found the car, they found the bodies but Bill was nowhere near.
Meanwhile, Bill recovered and wanders around half naked and hungry. He found a house and an old lady invites him in – he feeds on her but you know Bill, he is a nice guy – he doesn’t kill her, but does this erasing memory thing that True Blood has stolen from Star Wars.
But where is Sam I wonder? Ah- ha! There he is my lonely shapeshifter on a quest to find his biological family. (I have to be honest the dream scene where Sam sees Bill naked asking him to join him for a bath – kinda shocked me). So, he found his brother kinda easyly but having problems introducing him self, left to follow him later….but hey this episode ended.
Episode #01 comes to an end by leaving me with a smile on my face. Can’t wait for the next one.
Stay tuned cause more spoilers are coming in a few days. Next episode #2
