Crucified Barbara – Wacken Open Air 2010
Crucified Barbara appeared at the wet stage the afternoon of the last day of the festival. They are not one of my favorite bands but I had to see them ‘cause I was left alone due to a siesta my dear friends had to attend. The stage wasn’t too crowdie and that left some gallons of oxygen for the rest of us inside the hothouse. The chicks from Sweden came out filled up with energy and continued in the same vain until the end of their show. They delivered their Girlschool like rock ‘n’ roll by performing songs from their both albums In Distortion We Trust and ‘Till Death Do Us Party, but failing to warm up the party.
I don’t know, maybe was the unbearable heat, maybe Crucified Barbara were too rock ‘n’ roll for metal fans or (sadly to say) they aren’t just a Champions League band. Anyway, almost thirty minutes of time passed smoothly and I was on my way for the next gig.
