Kings of Leon – Come Around Sundown

“Come Around Sundown” is Kings of Leons fifth album. And the funny thing is that when the band from Tennessee released their first album “Youth and Young Manhood in 2003 we all new back then that this guys are not going to be missed, and for our best they did not.

I don’t know whether “Come Around Sundown” is one of their best albums but  for my taste is in a high position. Don’t expect to find radio rock anthems like “Use SomeBody” or ” Sex on Fire”, this album has a slow tempo, actually has a deadly slow tempo. The band, when everybody expected a new “Only By Night” or “Because of Night” approach, used the element of surprise by following a much different path. Their sound is definitely dark and grungy without ever forgetting their American country influences. The album needs listening time to be fully appreciated – believe me, in the end it will re-pay you.

My best moments: “The End”, “Radioactive”, “Pyro”, “Mary”

Mama iron my suit, the Kings Of Leon put out a new album!
