So, you are still try to find what those acts have in common…where the answer is “Hazy Shade Of Winter” a song Paul Simon wrote and was originally released on Simon & Garfunkels “Bookends” album in 1968. Almost 20 years later the Bangles covered the song with success. For the history the Bangles version of the song reached #02 on the Billboard chart while the original version (when released) picked at #13. Ten years later, it was time for German Thrashers Sodom to cover the song. The have included it on their “Till Death Do Us Unite” album and I am pretty sure that it didn’t reach any number on the charts although their cover was the most amusing of them all.
