Backdraft – This Heaven Goes To Eleven

I have to admit that I haven’t heard this guys before although are not new around. The made their entrance back in 2001 with their debut release ‘Here To Save You All’ and then again in 2007 with their ‘The Second Coming’ album. As I read from the associated press they did make an impression back then with their heavy southern style. So, “This Heaven Goes To Eleven” is their latest and third album so far officially released sometime at the end of March 2011.

The band for sure retrieves it’s influence from the southern hard rock and blues genre. The likes of Lynyrd Skynyrd and ZZ Top are worshiped here. But “This Heaven Goes To Eleven” has a lot more to give than influences as it manages to sound contemporary while it actually serves a kinda, old fashion music style. I like it. It is guitar driven, heavy when needed, memorable and has moments that could be easily make a lot of southern gurus jealous.

The album will first be released as a strictly limited edition high quality 180gram vinyl version including a CD. The vinyl also contains a bonus track not on the CD.
