Peter Cushing is The Man (even From Beyond The Grave)
Today the late, great Peter Cushing would have been 98 years- old. During his vast career, he played Baron Frankenstein, Professor Van Helsing, Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who and Grant Moff Tarkin, to name but a few of his signature roles. Because of this, I am struck with the realisation that Peter Cushing was the best British thespian of his generation. And I am sure he would object to my coarse language, but as far as I ‘m conserned, he was the coolest motherfucker of the Hammer / Amicus era. Here’s a lovely Gallery of his work. I ‘ll be watching one of his movies tonight. Hmm, perhaps Tales From The Crypt…
