Nergal walks free!
In a rare display of common sense, a Polish court found singer of Behemoth Nergal not guilty of offending religious feeling. Nergal had been charged when he tore up a bible during a concert in 2007. Despite the fact that Poland is a predominantly Roman Catholic country, the judge opined that the act was a form of artistic expression:

Well, I applaud the decision. It is perhaps time for us to start realizing that religious dogmas are ideas- and ideas should be open to criticism. I can’t help but thinking that, if Nergal had tried that stunt in Greece, several Metropolites of the Church (along with the usual far right reptiles) would come against him with torches and pitchforks. I can hear the usual suspects grumbling about how you could never get away with ripping up the Qur’an in places like Iran, but if you really want to compare your society to a theocracy, go ahead. In the meantime, lets have a song to celebrate:

Satan and his angels and his followers into the Lake of Fire in the Last battle. The Bible is that he tore up has the warning of this in it. Jesus tells ud to be sober and watch! Why ! because we no not when the Lord will come. Our lives could end at anytime without warning. He still has time to right now repent and and turn to the only true God Jesus Christ and wether he die in the body today he will live forever with Christ. My prayer is that he chooses life not death.

I don’t know about Nergal, but I ‘d choose the Lake of Fire. Just a thought…
