SPOILER ALLERT

A man (Adrien Brody) wakes up in a wrecked car in the woods covered in blood and with a broken leg. His broken leg is stacked so he can get out. In the back seat lies a dead man. Something bad had happen that he can’t recall. He opens up the car radio and hears about an armed robbery made by a man named Raymond Plazzy. He assumes, that he is this man. He suffers from amnesia.

A young girl suddenly appears, and gives him water and something to eat to end up seconds later just a hallucination. After a few days stacked in the car manages to un-trap his leg and get out of the car. Inside the car trunk finds bags filled with money. The night comes and a lion appears and eats the dead body in the back seat, while in the morning a man steals the money bags and runs. Hallucination continues.

He crawls away from the car and for the next days wanders inside the woods accompanied by a dog. He finds a cell phone, a dead body and a drivers license with the name of Raymond Plazzy. He then pieces together what might had happen. He witnessed an armed robbery and he was taken hostage, but nothing more.

By the end of the movie, he finds a road, calls for help, and is being picked up by a forest ranger. Inside the car, puts on his seat belt and fully remembers what had happen. As a hostage, with a gun pointing at him, he fastens his seat belt, grabs the wheel and drives the car outside of the road. The end!

So, did I like the movie. No, I did not. This is a really boring movie. From the first 30 minutes, you totally get what had happen and for the rest of the film you just wait for the main character to figure it out while he crawls half a Canadian forest without encountering a danger of any kind (one big, angry, hungry bear perhaps). The only danger he actually encounters comes from his hallucinations and that doesn’t count for the viewer.

I am totally down with low budget movies but I am totally against unimaginative plots. I am also a huge fan of Adrien Brody, the man acts superbly despite the crappy scenario and he is the only good reason that might make you wanna see this film.
