Seks (that probably comes from Sex) are a Norwegian band formed in 2010 by an American singer simply called Rock Hart and “Harder Than You” is their debut album released earlier this year. The band received excellent reviews from the press and managed to put a few songs in some magazines compilations. Overall, from what I read they are doin’ well in the home country and they are starting to making a name for themselves in the rest of the world.

What makes this band interesting in my eyes are their image, their attitude, their appetite to succeed. The music is good, it’s sleazy, it brinks something from the eighties, it shares some heavy riffing and a few cool melodies.

What I totally din’t like was Rock Harts voice. I think, this album had potential’s but have been ruined buy a flat, shallow voice. I am not just saying that this voice doesn’t fit with the music, I think that this voice sucks generally. In times when I was hearing the album, I thought that “Blink one hundred and whatever” changed their sound to something really cool!

I don’t know, give it a try. After all their music draws influences from band’s we worship like Motley Crue, Poison, Skid Row, Funny Money and many others.
